This is a lot of wire, 400’ is a lot. The wire obviously can be used for many things. The kit comes with a lot of hardware to assist in some projects and the parts are very handy when doing projects. There is a lot more wire than hardware in the kit, but all projects do not require the furnished hardware. I’ve used this wire to hang pictures, I have used it to tie off netting over my fish pond and I have used it to string lights, which I did use the hardware and it was much appreciated, especially the turnbuckles… makes it easy to tighten the tension on the string. You can use a lot of hardware pretty quick, put some thought into what you are going to do to use the least. I had assumed when I ordered this wire that it was 1/16th inch coated stainless steel strands… it’s coated stainless steel strands, but I think it falls short of real 1/16th inch by a few strands. In my mind of justification of it being shy a few strands, the roll is a long length… so more footage but less girth. I’m not sure what this string is rated strength wise, I’ll just take the projects as they come, but this string is not for heavy duty, the trellis idea seems appropriate. This product worked great for stringing little lights and hanging pictures and the hardware is handy to have on hand.
