I wasn't expecting the world when it came to flavor, very bland and smell is reminiscent of animal feed.I tried it as a cereal, adding sweetener and cinnamon which helped mask the flavor, if you eat it really quickly then it's edible.But the main problem with this brand, unlike others that I have tried is it gets extremely soggy once warm liquid is added. The texture is nothing like meat once it is added to any liquid and if that's what you desire then this isn't for you.But if your main goal is to add plant based protein to your meals, then I guess it will suffice.
